the talbott brothers / marketing partnership

The Talbott Brothers are a product of America’s heartland. Though currently based in Portland, Oregon, the duo grew up in Imperial, Nebraska, with a population just eking over 2,000. As indie-folk-rock musicians, Nick and Tyler Talbott, are somewhat of an anomaly, originating from a place where farming or ranching are the more typical career paths. Their honest songwriting is not only a breath of fresh air, but collections of down-to-earth messages that prove to be prevalent in today’s world. Ghost Talker (Oct. 18) is the second full-length studio album from the sibling duo. Imperial’s stories are still evident in their songwriting with lyrics pulling from the trials of everyday life and the questions we all face. “Everyone has ghosts, whether they talk about them or not. We wanted to take off the mask and be honest with this record, hoping that what we needed to say is what people needed to hear.”

“A pair of harmony-singing siblings who were raised in rural Nebraska, the Talbott Brothers made cinematic folk-rock for open highways, widescreen skies, and the limitless reach of the American heartland.”
- Rolling Stone

“The Talbott Brothers’ vulnerable new song “Without a Doubt,” which Billboard premieres today (Oct. 9), paints the picture of the push and pull of a relationship. With haunting brotherly harmonies by Tyler and Nick Talbott, the stripped down track details a man telling a woman that he wants her “to love me without a doubt.”
- Billboard

“The sweet, laid-back melody of "One Day Soon" obscures the anxiety in its lyrics. Ultimately, it's a hopeful song, a reminder that "someday" is, eventually, on the way. Fans of John Mayer, Mumford & Sons and Jason Isbell will find a lot to like in the Talbott Brothers' music.”
- The Boot

Indie-folk-rock musicians Nick and Tyler Talbott are clearly influenced by their surroundings. Growing up in Nebraska and now living in Portland, The Talbott Brothers have a rich, honest and profound sound that gives a nod to the influences of past artists and music that have also derived from their respective homes.”
